Corowa Sharks were out in force, with 58 swimmers representing their home club which hosted the Ovens & Murray District Swimming Association (O&MDSA) pennant on Sunday.
Corowa was buzzing on Sunday as the town hosted a full field for the Ovens & Murray District Swimming Association (O&MDSA) pennant, with 258 swimmers diving in to contest more than 1,000 individual and relay entries.

Clubs travelled from across the district including Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga-Mulwala and North Albury, creating a vibrant atmosphere at the Corowa Aquatic Centre and showcasing the strength of regional swimming.

The day ran seamlessly thanks to the combined efforts of Corowa Amateur Swimming & Lifesaving Club volunteers, committee members, coaches, Corowa Aquatic Centre staff and O&MDSA officials.
Their teamwork ensured a well-run meet and an enjoyable experience for both competitors and spectators.

Many delivered strong performances in the pool and are now eagerly awaiting confirmation of personal bests and possible state qualifying times.

The pennant proved a strong success for both the host club and the broader Corowa community, reinforcing the town’s reputation for delivering quality sporting events.
Attention now turns to the NSW Country Championships, to be held from February 20–22 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, where Corowa swimmers will look to carry their momentum onto the state stage.
