He has just competed in the Combined High Schools State Athletics in Sydney from September 8-10 representing Finley High School.
From all reports, Finley High School principal Jeff Ward came a good second to Levi’s parents with excitement and being so proud of Levi’s achievements.
On day one, Levi competed in the 13 year boys high jump, taking home the gold medal with a final jump of 1.72m (second place final jump was 1.66m).
Day two also saw him taking home the gold medal in the 13 year boys long jump with a final jump of 5.50m.
He was in fourth place until his final jump took out the gold medal. It was also a new personal best for Levi in the long jump.
Levi is now off to represent Finley High School in the NSW All Schools Championships, in both high jump and long jump.
It will run from this Saturday to Tuesday, September 29, at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.
Levi is hoping to place in the top three in the state to qualify for the All Schools Nationals held in Perth in December.
Levi can rest assured that he leaves with the best wishes of all residents of Finley and the surrounding area.
