Saturday, December 2 the competition for both the men and ladies was stableford on the president’s course. It was a smashing start to summer.

On Sunday the ladies competition was stableford on the captain’s course.

Friday’s winner was Allan Arnold (42-9.5-32.5), r/u Steve Senini (48-12.5-35.5); Chris Kelly won the putting with 13 and ball winner was John Walker (50-13-37).
Saturday’s winner was Joe Karakai (45-8.5-36.5), r/u Joe Nicholls (47-10.5-36.5); Jeff Stein won the putting with 13 and was the ball winner (47-9.5-37.5).
Sunday’s winner was Paul McVicor with 34 points, r/u Chris Kelly 32 and ball winner was Beau Walliss 32.
Saturday, December 9 will be a golf Christmas party and all levels of golfers are welcome to play a fun game of ambrose, with lots of prizes and Christmas cheer. We encourage all new golfers or anyone wanting a social hit, including junior players. 1.30pm for a 2pm tee off.

Thursday was medley stableford and winner was Kate Sleigh 36 points (great to see her playing 18 holes); r/u Julie Sleigh 34. NTP: 13th Heather Cameron. Two ladies had gobblers, Heather Cameron 7th and Kate Sleigh 10th.
Sunday was medley stableford off the red tees. Winner was Wayne Neilson 42, r/u Greg Collier 39. Ball comp Jamie Wilkinson, Daz Keating. NTP: 5th Greg Collier; 7th John Simpson; 10th Aaron Purcell; 15th Aaron Purcell; 16th Aaron Purcell.
This week we have Thursday medley stableford and Sunday medley stroke.

Finley
On Wednesday with rain and the threat of more rain golf was abandoned for both men and women.
On Thursday Chick Braybon had 21 stableford points to win the nine hole competition. Ball winners were Matt Daniel and Ian Armer, both on 19.
At the Elwyn’s Carpet Cleaning stableford medley day the winner was Tony Smith 37 on c/b. NTP 18th was Paul Pinnuck, and ball competition winners were Sasha Wood 37, Julie Gregory and Reece Simmons 34.
Sunday was the Bill Judd stroke day which included the December Monthly Medal for both men and women. Men’s winner was Sam Hurlston on 64 net, r/u Rand Wilson 68 net. Rob Daniel 75 took out the scratch medal.
Ladies winner was Annie Wood with 70 net, r/u Mary Polkinghorne 71. Sharon Pyle with 86 gross claimed the scratch medal.

Coleambally
Eve Kerr and Carl Pound recently represented the Coleambally Golf Club and Western Riverina District Golf Association at the Keno Let’s Play Ambrose State Finals at Bonville Golf Resort, Coffs Harbour.
Rated one of the best 100 golf courses in Australia, both Eve and Carl did considerably well.
They placed 12th in the Golf NSW affiliated mixed competition.
The Keno Let’s Play Ambrose is a two-person ambrose event aimed at club golfers and encouraging them to enjoy the fun aspects of golf.
The state final was conducted on November 27 and 28, over two rounds of 18 holes.
Scoring for each round is based on ranking for that round, such that the net winner of the round will receive one point, net second place will receive two points and net third will receive three points, and so on.
The winner of the state final will be the pairing with the lowest points across the two rounds.
Eve and Carl has a net 75 in round one to earn 10 points and net 73 in round two, for 12 points.
Winner of the mixed competition was the Pambula Merimbula Golf Club paring of Nick Crundall and Sue Schepisi, who finished the two rounds with a total five points.
They had a net 57.5 in round one and net 64.5 in round two.
