Benalla Golf Club ladies’ president Lindy Wrest was overjoyed at how the day turned out.
“It was a beautiful day, it was extremely successful,” she said.
“We had 30 teams which was 120 players from all different parts of north-eastern Victoria in the Goulburn Valley area.

The Jubilee Two side from Wangaratta won the Maie O’Shea Bowl, named in honour of the late O’Shea, a Benalla local who lived as a fierce supporter of ladies golf within the region.
Funds raised during the event included a raffle, with proceeds going back into the club as well as supporting Benalla’s Tomorrow Today Foundation.
Wrest said all in all, Thursday marked another bumper instalment of the event.
“It was a real team effort by all the club members,” she said.
“Whenever we hold any of these events everyone in the club chips in and that’s what makes it so successful as well.”
