When Jack Moffatt first climbed onto a dirt bike at just three years old, a tiny Pee Wee 50 buzzing beneath him, it didn’t take long for the Corowa youngster to fall completely in love with riding.

By the time he was five, that passion had become obvious. Jack’s family enlisted a professional track builder to construct a custom training track on his grandparents' property, giving the budding rider the perfect playground as he progressed onto high-powered 50cc machines.
Now a Year Three student at St Mary’s Primary School, Jack capped off 2024 with several strong results after turning eight, including multiple podium finishes.
Those early successes gave him the confidence to commit to a full competitive season in 2025, a decision that has paid off in spectacular fashion.
Throughout the year, Jack travelled extensively to compete, racing everywhere from Wollongong in New South Wales to Ballarat in Victoria. His results were nothing short of outstanding.
He claimed the 2025 Victorian Northern Region 50cc Championship, finished runner-up in the NSW Southern Region 50cc Championship, and also secured second place in the ACT Club Championship, all on his 50cc.
According to his father, Michael, Jack’s consistency has been remarkable across both the 50cc and 65cc classes.
Jack has finished in the top two placegetters at various regional championships in 2025.
“Jack loves the sport and trains at his grandparents’ track and places like Chesneyvale Ride Park when he’s not racing,” Michael said.
“He’s stood on the podium more than 20 times this year alone.”
Motocross isn’t Jack’s only sporting interest. He’s a keen long-distance runner, swims with the Corowa Sharks Swimming Club, enjoys mountain biking, plays the drums, and squeezes in Auskick whenever it doesn’t clash with his racing commitments.
Jack’s family credits strong support from Gas Moto Wangaratta, which supplies his race bikes and riding gear, and Elsbury Moto Performance Wodonga, which keeps his machines tuned and race-ready throughout the season.
With such a formidable year behind him, Jack is already gearing up for an even bigger challenge in 2026.
He will step up to the 65cc and 85cc classes, where he hopes to continue pushing for podium finishes and building on what is shaping up to be a very promising motocross career.
