A-grade: Berrigan 21 def by Katamatite 76.
We knew Saturday was going to be tough, and with a few girls out it was going to be even tougher.
Girls doubled up on and even tripled up on, poor Charlie Magill.
We threw everything we had at them and never gave up. Kayleigh Nolen went into goals and Layla Towler tried her hardest in defence, and did everything they were asked.
The girls had intercepts and some great passages of play, but Katty’s skill and great game play was just too good for us.
We are super proud of how the girls handled the pressure and kept persisting.
Awards: Hollie Bartlett, Steph Fiore, Steph Fiore, Kayleigh Nolen.

B-grade had a great hit out against a very similar Katamatite side.
Scores were consistent in the first half, and the Saints had a three-goal deficit going into the main break.
Unfortunately, Katty capitalised well during the third and held a 10-goal lead into the last.
Each team member played their role and supported the team well.
We recovered and turned the corner, outscoring the Tiges in the last.
However, the gap was too large to close.
Huge credit to Katty’s goalies who did not miss - it was a great fight to the final whistle.
Awards: Bec Ware, Lucy Pyle, Bec Ware.
C-grade: Berrigan 15 def by Katamatite 62.
Another tough game taking on a very quick and accurate Katamatite team.
A couple of changes after quarter time increased our leg speed through the midcourt, to slow the Katamatite attack and give our defenders some help.
Mia Coldwell battled well in GD and then in GK to take home the Marshall Ag $50.
Marley Galea had a great game though centre and in WD, giving us plenty of drive through the midcourt and Tess Middleton claimed the Players’ Player Award with some great movement around the ring and making the most of her opportunities in GS.
C-Reserve: Berrigan 28 def by Katamatite 36.
The Berrigan Saints came into the game well-prepared for a tough battle against Katamatite.
The defenders stood strong working tirelessly to turn the ball over and keep the pressure on as well as give great support, applying consistent pressure through the midcourt.
Leteisha Hague, Sam Henderson, Fiona James, and Maddie Sibraa brought strength and relentless drive to the midcourt, ensuring smooth transitions and keeping the momentum alive.
We were especially excited and grateful to have Maddie join us this week to help out - her contribution was invaluable.
Annie Cameron and Tamara Holley moved beautifully in attack, working hard and never giving up despite a few missing goals.
The girls showed incredible resilience, teamwork, and spirit right to the final whistle.
Awards: Fiona James, Samantha Henderson, Tamara Holley.
Under-17s: Berrigan 84 def Katamatite 6.
The under-17s were firing and rocking their Terry Sock It To Cancer green socks.
It was a very convincing win. Full credit to the new Katamatite side - they contested and ran with the Saints all game, and it was a friendly fast paced game.
There were very disciplined and structured passages of play.
The goalies worked tirelessly and managed to almost split the goals, with both Sophia-Ruby Morgan and Princess Arcasitas scoring roughly 40 goals each.
Lucy Pyle worked hard through the middle for ball placement on the circle edge, which was well delivered.
There was great defensive work from Rosie Phillips and Charlie Magill, while thanks to Bella Ward for her contribution on the court and sideline also.
Awards: Sophia-Ruby Morgan, Princess Arcasitas, Lucy Pyle.
Under-15s: Berrigan 43 def Katamatite 12.
Our under-15s travelled to Katamatite in what proved to be a very successful day for our junior Saints.
Playing with a straight seven, our girls knew their roles and absolutely dominated their opposition in both attack and defence.
The ball movement down the court was effortless and we were able to capitalise on nearly every turnover.
Well done to Sativa Morgan. You played your best game all year and your commitment at training is starting to pay off.
Taylah Dixon was solid in defence taking many intercepts and contributing to a lot of turnovers.
Sophie Baxter and Darcie Smith worked in perfect unison in the midcourt, efficiently feeding the ball into our shooters and creating some nice play around the ring.
Awards: Sativa Morgan, Sophie Baxter, Taylah Dixon, Darcie Smith.
