Major news beaming out of the summer break saw Barooga depart for a neighbouring comp, the Picola District Football Netball League, reducing the number of teams from 12 to 11.
However, that doesn’t mean the quality has lessened.
Reigning premier Cobram has a big ask of going back to back after last year’s from-the-clouds grand final victory, while Rumbalara’s A-grade three-peat will be threatened by supercharged rival sides.
One thing’s for sure, this year will bring the fireworks.
