A grade
Cats 32, Saints 52.
The A’s came out strong with a good first half implementing the training focus into their game. As has been the case all year a drop in concentration in the third allowed the Saints to pull away.
Illness to Brook Smith didn’t help their cause with limited game time however Jess Oats and Kayla Harrison were good as usual, a strong showing in the last quarter by the cats helped to stop the Wodonga side from pulling away.
Awards; Complete Body Craft mug – Kayla Harrison, Star Hotel yeti – Jess Oats.
B grade
Cats 25, Saint 53
Another honourable loss with the retired Hayley Thompson once again emerging from retirement for the second time, two games is still partial retirement, three games is “back”.
The game was strongly contested but still played in good spirits. Charlie Williams is continuing her strong season from the defensive end while Ashton Nichol worked strongly from the opposite end showing with the major awards.
Awards; Winslow Civil mug – Ashton Nichol, Star Hotel yeti – Charlie Williams.
C Grade
Cats 15, Saints 57
With the local Debutante on and girls requiring the standard three hours to ready themselves the C graders went in a few short, after their first win the previous week the girls came crashing back against a strong outfit. Despite the defeat they never gave in and will take away many lessons from the game, such as, thirty minutes is an acceptable time to ready themselves for a night out, you can never have to many Emma’s in a side, Lindsay Harder will always get hurt, Chloe Trevaskis will rock a Deb ball, Ellie Lea will look after her side. Sometimes there’s more to winning, this side is rocking the Cats.
Awards; Casella Wines yeti – Ellie Lea, Jack and the Fox – Bree Fisher.

Cats 21, Saints 45
The girls lacked a few core members throughout the whole game due to girls being part of the local debutante ball, this aside if shots went in the score would have been much different as the mid court battle was very even. With the key outs the younger 15s stepped up and worked well despite the lack of knowledge of each other’s game, while the Saints had a strong attacking play the young Cats took advantage with plenty of intercepts, overall, it was a very good performance considering the factors at play.

Cats 21, Saints 69
Despite the best efforts of the young Cats they came up against a well drilled side that couldn’t be overcome. The girls simply couldn’t get the supply into shooters Grace Milthorpe and Matilda Colwell despite the hard work of defenders Maiya Lea, Steph Shaw and Alex Gniel, the later three worked well under immense pressure. Milly Morris, Jacinta Fisher and Clodagh Way in her second game worked well in the mid court to transition the ball from defence to attack however the girls couldn’t overcome the strong Saints side.
Awards; Slope Cash – Grace Milthorpe, Stupid Socks – Milly Morris. Exterior Presentations – Lucy James, Silver Key Café – Freya Gneil.

Cats 29, Saints 29.
What a game of netball, the Saints opened up an early lead however the Cats through the determination of Kaity Ford and the Way girls, Harriet and Clodagh forged back into the game to take the lead midway through the second term. From this point the game pulsated with each side gaining the advantage only to have the lead taken away. When the game was drifting Tayla Meyer and Lexie Wilson would step up and wrestle control back to send the supporters into ruptures. Nearing the final siren with the Cats down a last-ditch effort resulted in a well-deserved draw for both sides.
Awards; EDC Cash – Lexie Wilson, Tupperware Drinker – Kaity Ford.
Midgets
Against a minute young Saints side, the girls were allowed to try different positions and implement drills that they had been practising since the start of the season. Most pleasing part was the encouragement the girls showed to their opposition, all Cats supporters are proud of the great little people we have in our club.
Awards; Daisey Cow – Flick Watson, Rutherglen Lolly Shop – Clem Colwell.
