After a tough loss last week, A Grade had a fantastic win. With a positive start, they continued to extend their lead each quarter. Sally Hunter’s defence led to plenty of turnovers and the midcourters provided the steadiness they needed. The attackers saw plenty of changes and opportunities to again show their versatility. Essential Beauty: Sally Hunter and MVP, Dress Hire/Club Corowa: Leah Bihun, Canteen: Zoe Prentice.

C Grade

C Grade’s hard work has paid off with their first win of the season! They had their best start to a game this season and played four consistent quarters. The game was within one to three goals for the first three quarters. The last quarter they kept their heads down and made sure to convert any gains they made. This ended with winning by 11 goals at the final siren.
Jess King (Club 1) had a dominate game in GA creating space and setting up plays. Victoria Borg won our Thrive award for her strength in WD for shutting down their drive and her connection coming out of defence. Taleaka Dickins won the Canteen award. She had great drive out of defence with Victoria and adjusted quickly in the ring to cause imperative turnovers to help get the team over the line.
Club 1: Jess King, Thrive: Victoria Borg, Canteen: Taleaka Dickins, MVP: Steph Sutcliffe.
17s

Coming up against Lavington, the 17s and under knew they had a chance of winning. They had a strong start with great teamwork and strong defensive work throughout the whole court. Coming into the last quarter the margin became very close but the girls pushed through and got the win they deserved.
Our 15s show so much potential week-in and week-out. They continue to improve each week and show increasing maturity in their headspace. Half way through the season with no wins, we now take the ultimate underdog badge and have nothing to lose as we enter the second half of the season. We have full faith in our ability to decrease the margins next time around.
