Shepparton export Jordan Butts looks set to bring the curtain down on his time at the Adelaide Crows, informing the club of his intention to join the Western Bulldogs during the upcoming free agency period.
The key defender has played 94 games for the Crows since joining the club eight years ago, and Adelaide released a statement thanking Butts for his services.
“Adelaide defender Jordon Butts has informed the club he intends to sign with the Western Bulldogs via free agency this off-season,” the statement said.
“Butts is an unrestricted free agent having spent eight seasons at West Lakes after joining the Crows at pick 39 in the 2018 Rookie Draft.
“The club would like to thank Jordon for his commitment and professionalism over the past eight years and wish him all the best for the future.”
The 26-year-old’s importance in the defensive end of the ground has been highly regarded at Whitten Oval, and Butts joins the Bulldogs following another finals campaign.

Meanwhile, his Adelaide teammate and Shepparton Swans product Josh Rachele has enjoyed a career-best outing on Brownlow Medal night.
Rachele polled eight votes to take his career tally to nine, the Crows livewire taking his game to another level in 2026.
Mooroopna’s Clayton Oliver topped the GWS Giants cohort with 23 votes.
