Roos’ trainers Gary Cook, Bec Kuschert and Ernie Talarico join Kaelan Bradtke, Liam McCarthy and Cody Schutt after the O&M’s big 77-point interleague victory over the Goulburn Valley.
The Ovens and Murray Football League proved far too strong for their fiercest rival the Goulburn Valley last Saturday, recording a 77-point victory 18.19.127 to 7.8.50 at Wangaratta Rovers WJ Findlay Oval.

The GV kicked their first major at the three-minute mark of the first term but didn’t come out to play again until the 14th minute mark of the last quarter when they kicked their second major, with the O&M leading at every stoppage and change throughout the match.
Corowa Rutherglen’s Kaelan Bradtke got the home team on the board within the first 30 seconds, before pushing the margin to more than seven goals early in the second quarter, on his way to booting three majors for the game.

The three-quarter-time scoreboard showed only one goal for Goulburn Valley against the O and M’s 14 however the home team took their foot off the throttle in the last with the visitors finally finding the big sticks and booting six goals in the last quarter.
North Albury’s Josh Murphy kicked six goals, including three in the first quarter blitz of 6.7 to 1.2, to win the AFL Victoria Medal.
O and M coach Jake Sharp said his team worked really hard to build strong connections as a group over the three-week training in the lead up.
The Roos’ other representatives, Cody Schutt, who captained the side, and Liam McCarthy also contributed to the leagues big win.
In the earlier football match, the O&M’s Under 18s team, which consisted of Roos’ Degan Purcell, Angus Coghill and Jayden Forge had a thrilling 13-point win much to the delight of coach Ben Talarico.

In netball, the league’s senior netball team, which saw Sally Hunter and Lou Madden take to the court, went down 31-68 after trailing by 11 goals at the first break.
The match before in the Under 17s went down to the wire with the O&M unfortunately falling by just two goals whilst the Under 15s posted a convincing 31 goal win.
Also representing the Roos on the day were trainers Gary Cook, Bec Kuschert and Ernie Talarico who all in all, had a great day out.
