The 2026 hockey season has launched with Corowa United Hockey Club’s come-and-try day at Ball Park on Sunday.

Focusing on primary school kids it was a huge success after a big effort from the club to visit 746 students across 6 primary schools in the local area.
By far the biggest turnout in the last 5 years, this coming season is looking very promising across all junior grades.
An estimate of 40 new kids turned up, with ages varied from four to 16.
Kids aged from four to 16 came to Ball Park to try their hand at hockey, many for the first time.
Many of our junior players that have been selected in this year’s Albury/Wodonga representative teams, travelling to all parts of NSW and ACT to play in tournaments, have come through the Hook into Hockey program.
Mark Peter, owner of Rogue Hockey and playing member of the club, has started producing his own line of custom designed hockey sticks and has supplied the under 7's and 10's with a striking design in club colours this year.
All new players are welcome to come down to training sessions, kicking off this week from Tuesday, March 3, with the first round of the season on April 11 and 12.

Corowa United has been the most successful club in Hockey Albury/Wodonga for over a decade, winning the Flo Johnson award (most successful club across all grades) every year since 2014.
