The senior C Grade Roo girls have proven themselves to be a formidable team, as evidenced by their closely contested match against the Rovers on Saturday which ended in a draw.

Despite a loss, the Under 17s put on an impressive display of goaling in their game, with a whopping 123 goals being scored in total between them and the Rovers.
Eloise Black was dominant in the ring with 84% shooting accuracy.
As the newest side of the competition, the under 15s team continue to make their coaches proud, with a hard-fought game against a strong Wangaratta contingent.
This Saturday, May 13, the Roos have their first home game of the season and would love to see a strong army of supporters cheering them home.
Chelsea Parker played her best game for C Grade of the weekend.
C Grade
Roos 38 v Rovers 38
Rovers came out strong in the first quarter, but the Roo girls dominated the next two quarters. The last quarter, they were not able to hold out for the win but were pleased to come away with a draw. The girls all have a solid determination and trust in each other to give their all each game.
Awards:
Club 1 - Grace Eales had a solid game in goals, showing leadership, she moved well with Chelsea, and shot consistently.
Essential Beauty - Chelsea Parker committed herself to the GA position this week and played her best game this season. She played her role and did not allow the pressure of the game to get to her.
Thrive Wellness - Charlise Pirnag was a great team player, playing a consistent game in 2 mid court positions and she was able to adjust to both the defensive and attacking end well.
MVP & SSA - Taleaka Dickins - always reliable in defence she gave another solid game.
Under 17s
Roos 50 defeated by Rovers 73
This week, the 17s came up against the Rovers, another tough match. Again, the girls had a great start and definitely showed they can match it with their opposition.
Under 15s Lily Palmer standing tall in defense.
This week the side welcomed two new girls to the team from Howlong- Audrey and Lily. Audrey was able to assist Milly O in the defence end and both worked hard all game pulling in rebounds and turnovers sending it back down to the attack end.
Down in attack this week there was lots of options and shooting combinations. Standing tall, Eloise was supported by Alisha and Lily. With a massive 50 goal haul to the losing team is still a great effort and something for the girls to be proud of.

Club 1 - Audrey Hogan defence challenging her opposition and working solidly with Milly.
Chocolate Factory - Milly O Kane was quick on her feet and was persistent in her defensive game.
Origin Clothing & MVP - Eloise Black who shot at 84%, shooting 40 goals, worked well with both Alicia and Lily. Pulling in all passes to her.
SSA - Remy Longmire works hard week after week and settles the mid court, she provided great depth down the court.

Under 15s
Roos 22 defeated by Rovers 40
The youngest Roos started off very well against the Rovers, with the defensive end working hard from the get go. The attacking end were also very lively, with Rahni Dickens and Keeley Symonds working well together to set up our shooters.
Unfortunately, after half time, they lost a little momentum and the Rovers started to edge forward on the scoreboard. Even though the girls never gave up trying all day, the Rovers were too strong in the end. The Roos look forward to their first home game of the year this week.
Awards:
Club 1 - Keeley Symonds worked hard in the mid court. Driving well and feeding the shooters
Sportspower- Laila Vandermeer moved in the ring well with both Mim and Sienna and was consistent with her shooting
Docs - Rahni Dickens ran out the game centre court and was a decisive in her attack and defence.
SSA - Violet Fisher worked hard in both her defensive positions.
MVP - Lily Palmer stood tall in defence. Her commitment and determination in GK placed pressure on her opponents.
