Ryan Beveridge (centre) of Corowa’s Thirds won the John Longmire Medal for most goals kicked in season 2022, for the O and M league with 94 goals. The smartly dressed award recipient was joined by also-smartly attired teammates Ethan Hanrahan, Finn Osborne, Jesse Johnstone and Jedd Longmire at the Morris Medal dinner last Wednesday.
Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club had many stars in season 2022, with three stars fronting the stage to receive awards at the annual Morris Medal Dinner last Wednesday.
Corowa’s Lisa Tobin was the standout netballer in O and M league’s B Grade best and fairest award, with 26 votes, winning by six votes.

Special mention must also be made of other Roos’ footballers and netballers. Champion A Grade netballer Sophie Hanrahan almost won her third Toni Wilson Medal for best O and M player, poling 29 votes, just one vote behind winner and now third-time Toni Wilson medallist Emily Browne of North Albury.
Roos’ footballing brothers Cam and Damien Wilson polled a total of 27 votes, with Cam’s 14 placing him equal fourth in the league count.
Immediate past president of Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club Graham Hosier won the 2022 O and M Volunteer of the Year award. “It’s a tribute to all the hard-working volunteers at Corowa Rutherglen,” he said.
