The senior Corowa Rutherglen Netball Club are having a successful season with A Grade now sitting a game clear on top of the OMFNL ladder with two rounds remaining, while B Grade sits four games clear in fifth.

However the last two matches of the 2025 home and away season will test the Roos, facing the North Albury Hoppers this weekend who are sitting in fourth in the A Grade and third in the B Grade. Then to finish the season, the Roos will match up against Lavington who sit in fifth place.
A Grade
Roos 55 defeated Rovers 37
It was a great day hosting Wangaratta Rovers on Saturday. Well done to Courtney Haigh celebrating 50 club games.
The A Grade girls continue to dominate the top of the ladder. With two top five games left to play this season against Hoppers and Panthers, the girls will be primed for finals.
Two rounds to go. The Roos got up over Wang Rovers who really pushed with their tight body defence.
It was a good test of the structures and working hard to take a ball.
Soph Hanrahan is also playing in the VNL championships Grand final this tonight with the Roos wishing her well.
Awards this week went to: Player’s player and Club 1 - Em Laracy (beaut game on the hunt in GK. Many rejections, many turnovers.)
Coach’s award - Indi Frauenfelder (rippa quick ball speed game in WA).
Canteen and MVP - Lou Madden (shooting 48 of 55 goals).
B Grade
Roos 47 drew with Rovers 47
B Grade had a difficult contest against Wang Rovers who brought everything from quick attacking transitions to eye for the ball in defence.
Going down in the first quarter and not having the usual start Corowa B picked up their game in the second quarter to score 17 goals, which is the best for the season so far. Leading into the second half it still wasn’t enough to keep the Rovers away.
A hard fought final quarter and momentum swinging back and forth ending the game as a draw.

C Grade
Roos 25 defeated by Rovers 51
It was not the girls day on Saturday. Rovers sit second on ladder so are a strong side.
With the return of a few players, the Roos had a full team but it took time to find their flow.
Rovers continued to build their lead. Third quarter the girls settled well and matched the Rovers goal for goal.
The girls continued to work hard and make most of opportunities, but Rovers ran away with the game.
Great game from Nellie Linden (Club 1) learning a new position, she is growing in confidence in the centre postion.
Issy Saunders was strong in WD and received Essential Beauty for her persistence, hands over and footwork.
Niamh Lavis - Canteen continues to grow in her defensive role working with Charlotte Bott (MVP) they worked tirelessly in defence turning the ball over.
Under 17s
Roos 27 defeated by Rovers 68
The girls had a tough game taking on the ladder leaders in Wang Rovers. The Roos started the game slow but built momentum as it went on.
Finished off very strong, showing great determination. Solid performance against a team sitting second on the ladder.
Sommers Hogan had a very strong and consistent game in defence.
Alex was very strong in the shooting end ripping in the balls.
Mia was very strong and moved well to get rebounds and intercepts in defence.
The girls persisted and did not give up.

Under 15s
Roos 37 drew with Rovers 37.
The Under 15s girls put in a fantastic team effort over the weekend, coming away with a draw against the Rovers.
Maci Coats was a rock in defence, showing great consistency throughout the match, earning the Doc's Award.
Kaity Ford delivered powerful drives through the centre, helping to move the ball smoothly down the court and set up attacking opportunities.
Molly Colman held her ground in defence, keeping her opponent off the circle edge and limiting scoring chances.
Overall, it was a great display of teamwork and determination - well done, girls.
