Rutherglen United Cricket Club will be looking to climb up the Wangaratta & District Cricket Association (WDCA) ladder when the 2022/23 season kicks off this Saturday.
President Lucas Peacock said the club is looking forward to a great season and making big strides off the field as well as on it.
“We have two senior teams and three junior teams, A Reserve, B Grade, Under 16s, Under 14s, Under 12s and we look forward to fielding our first open women’s T20 team,” Lucas said.
“Our new facilities are being well utilised with training happening under cover, rain, hail or shine.”
Senior captains this season are A Reserve Liam Hocking and B Grade Lucas Peacock.
Lucas said the club is still looking to welcome new and existing players back to the nets.
If you are interested in playing join the club during the week at training at Barkley Park on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 5.30pm. Juniors train on Thursday at 4.30pm and the open women’s team on Friday at 4.30pm.
