Sharks’ season underway

The summer season for the Corowa Sharks Swim Club has commenced and the club looks forward to the opening of the outdoor pools at Corowa and Howlong.

Already, although still limited to only three sessions per week of training in the indoor pool, the club has 33 registered swimming members getting ready for the new outdoor swimming season.

Local competition is already underway with three of the club’s swimmers competing at the 8-11 junior time trials in Albury recently. All three of these swimmers earned a place on the O&M 8-11 junior team and will represent the O&M District in Melbourne at MSAC on November 5. Well done to Samuel, Hugh and Will, and good luck in Melbourne!

If you are interested in finding out more about Swim Club look for the stall at the Federation Community Expo at Bangerang Park on Thursday, November 10 (3.00-6.00pm).

This season the Shark’s training fees will be heavily discounted by the club, so this may be a great season to give it a go! It’s possible training fees will never be this low in price again!

Swimmers can be any age (including adults) but must be able to swim a minimum of 25m to a reasonable standard (this can be assessed by one of our coaches) and the Club has a four-session ‘try-out’ policy before registration payment is due.
