Two Sharks travelled to Geelong to contest the 2026 Victorian Country Long Course Championships.
Ed O’Connor, 17 raced across eight events, qualifying for six finals and recording four new personal bests.
He was joined by Samuel Turner, 18, a multi class swimmer who took on a demanding program of 13 races across heats and finals.
Samuel achieving five personal best performances in a strong showing against high quality competition.
Meanwhile, in South Australia at the 2026 State Open and Multiclass Championships, multi class swimmer Grace Adams, 17, competed in three backstroke events, finishing all races inside the top 20.
Mia Hogan, 13, delivered an outstanding performance, racing six events, qualifying for three finals and securing an impressive medal haul of two gold and one silver.
Closer to home, 20 Sharks headed to Leeton for the 2026 Country Regionals, where the team finished inside the top five on the club points score, an incredible achievement against strong regional competition.
Across 93 individual races, Sharks swimmers recorded 23 personal bests, 32 top 10 finishes and an outstanding 41 podium results.
The medal tally was equally impressive, with 14 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze medals.
It was an epic and enjoyable weekend of racing and achievement for the club.
A huge thank you goes to parents of the club, whose enthusiasm, energy and willingness to help in every possible way make race meets seamless and enjoyable.
The club also thanks the dedicated coaches, who invest countless hours guiding and supporting swimmers to be their very best, your efforts do not go unnoticed.
None of this success would be possible without the tireless work of the club committee, whose ongoing support keeps everything running smoothly.
The Sharks swimmers continue to work incredibly hard, whether chasing a personal best, standing on the podium or finally nailing a race skill they have been striving to master.
The club is immensely proud of their commitment, resilience and the way they support one another as a team.
