The weekend charity golf event, hosted by the Corowa Golf Club, promises plenty of action on and off the course and over $4000 in prizes on offer, with all proceeds going to the McGrath Foundation.
A three-course dinner will be held on the Saturday night with entertainment, raffles and an auction where a lucky bidder will have the chance to secure a Vodafone Test Series 2012/13 cricket bat signed by the Australian and Sri Lanka teams.
On the green, a 4BBB tournament (SGS) will be held on the Saturday kicking off at 12pm while Sunday’s event is a Canadian Foursomes (SGS) starting at 8:30am.
Event coordinator Kay Blakeley said people will need to book early as numbers will be limited.
“It’s going to be a fantastic day, supporting a great cause, so we are really encouraging people to book early so that they don’t miss out,” she said.
Ms Blakeley, who has been instrumental in raising many thousands of dollars for the McGrath Foundation in the local community, said she plans to see the Pink Teams Event become an annual event.
The McGrath Foundation, created by Jane McGrath, was established to help support women all over the country who have been touched by breast cancer. Over 95,000 families have been supported since 2005, and more nurses are needed to meet the growing rate of breast cancer diagnosis in Australia.
