It was ideal conditions for St Kilda Cricket Club’s preseason visit to Deniliquin on Saturday and Sunday.

Hosted at the Deni Rhinos facilities at Memorial Park for the fourth season in a row, the sun was shining for the 50 over match on Saturday before the 20 over match on Sunday.
Both were intra club matches so were not officially scored, but there was still quality cricket on both days.
Outside of play, the visiting club also enjoyed meals provided by the Rhinos volunteers and watching classic AFL preliminary final action locally.
St Kilda Cricket Club administrator and former Australian international cricketer Shaun Graf said the club’s visits to Deniliquin have played a role in the club’s back-to-back first division Victorian premier cricket success.
“The Saints had another successful trip to Deni, we played two days of cricket on an excellent pitch and outfield giving our lads an ideal prep for the season proper,” he said.
“The support and hospitality from the Rhinos Cricket Club, along with the help of some of the local cricketing community who curated the pitch, was outstanding.
“We now look forward to another successful season where we are looking to add another flag to make it a three-peat of 1st XI premierships.
“The Deni trip contributes greatly towards these successes.”
As a token of the premier cricket club’s appreciation, Graf presented Deniliquin Rhinos representatives Brad Todd and Anthony Bradley with a St Kilda premiership shirt.
It will be framed and displayed in the Memorial Park clubrooms.
