Corowa Rutherglen’s senior netball coach Sophie Hanrahan has again won a Victorian Netball League Most Valuable Player award – the 2024 Championship Netball League. In 2022, Sophie won the Division 1 MVP.
The City West Falcon’s defender tied for the 2024 title – the highest level - with another defender, Jessie Grenvold of Wilson Storage Southern Saints for the Championship award.
Sophie was presented with her award at Sunday night’s awards ceremony in Melbourne.
It was a great season for her, greatly helping the City West Falcons claim the back-to-back Championship division grand final win, over Boroondara Express.
Polling votes in 10 games, Sophie continued her dominance in the circle consistently generating valuable gains.
“It’s another great achievement by Soph. We’re so proud of her,” Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club secretary/treasurer Rowena Black told The Free Press.
