Super Sunday at John Foord Oval

Corowa Rutherglen take on Yarrawonga for the first Rumble on the River match at John Foord Oval this Sunday, May 15. Pictured is Charlie Nastasi who will be a key player against the Pigeons.

This Sunday is shaping to be a huge day of football and netball when the Corowa Rutherglen Roos take on the Yarrawonga Pigeons at John Foord Oval.

Having had a bye last weekend, the Roos will be ready for some big performances against their down-river rivals. In round 4 of senior football the Roos had a strong win over Wodonga Raiders and last weekend the Pigeons were too good for Wodonga Bulldogs.

The Roo A-grade netballers also had a big win over the Wodonga Raiders and the Pigeons were too strong for Wodonga Bulldogs, hence setting up a clash between first and second on the O&M Netball ladder.

In all grades of football and netball the Roos and the Pigeons occupy ladder positions in close proximity to each other. A win or a loss will therefore have a significant impact on positions going forward.
