Fourths:
The under-14s started strong against Katandra, with Harrison Wilson winning the first centre clearance of the day and moving the ball inside our forward 50.
However, they could not convert on that occasion, with Katandra’s defence proving too strong for our smaller forward line.
As usual, our backline, led by Charlie Wilson, Lewis Peterson and Arlo Haley, was under pressure from the get-go, with Katandra scoring seven unanswered goals in the first half.
The second half proved more of a battle in the midfield, with Cooper Quick, Harrison Wilson, and Oli East all getting plenty of the ball.
Arch Chellew provided plenty of run through the half-back line, with Henry Watmore getting around it on the wing.
A couple of last-quarter goals by Judd Haebick and Chase Dickens saw the team finish on a high.
All in all, it was a solid team performance.
