Games are played on a Monday night at the Corowa Cougars home ground on Redlands Road with all ages (12 years and over) and abilities welcome.
Corowa Touch Association President Steve Briggs told the Free Press that although the season was underway, anyone interested in having a game was encouraged to come down and help fill a side that may be a couple of players short.
“It’s a great social and fun game, great for hand eye coordination and the rules are easy to learn,” Briggs said.
“The competition is very family orientated. We aim to have a friendly and nurturing vibe so that everyone feels at ease.
“It also keeps our Cougars players together in the off-season, and they are encouraged to bring their friends along too.
“This season we have players from as far as Albury, Wangaratta and we’ve got some Rutherglen players too.
“If there is anyone in the community that would like to have a crack, we would encourage them to come down and introduce themselves. We will easily slot them into a team.”
All teams are mixed with a minimum of two females or children required to be on the playing field.
Members of the community are welcome to come and check out the fun on a Monday night at the Cougars ground. Only two rounds have been played so far with wet weather forcing the postponement on Monday night. Games kick off at 5:30pm. To find out more visit www.facebook.com/corowatouch.
