The Under 16 Roos came from behind at half time to claim an elimination final for the ages, beating Wodonga Bulldogs by 15 points to book a place in the AWJFL preliminary finals.
It was a tight tussle all day with the Roos starting slow but getting on top when it mattered.
The Roos were slow off the blocks but re-grouped at half time to outscore the Bulldogs in the third quarter 1.1 to 3.1 to reclaim the lead.
The 16s will now be gearing up for a place in the big dance as they take on Lavington in the Preliminary final at North Albury’s Bunton Park at 12.30 this Sunday.
