After winning the toss, Captain Ben Mitchell sent North Albury in to bat.
The decision paid dividends immediately with early breakthroughs with Nick Grant striking in the first over, and a screamer of a catch by Jarred Lane quickly had North Albury reeling at 2/15.
On a flat deck, Ben Fulford turned the tide with the gloves, executing two unbelievable stumpings and a brilliant catch to leave the visitors struggling at 6/111.
A late surge led by North Albury's Burge saw them bat out their 50 overs, finishing at 8/191.
Nick Grant captured 4/36 from 7 overs, while Ben Mitchell took 1/27 from his 10 overs and Mark Athanitis & Cal Langlands each took 1/19.

B Grade
In a thrilling encounter at Bunton Park, Corowa’s B Grade side secured a tight 17-run victory over North Albury, headlined by a sensational individual performance from Daniel Athanitis.
After being sent in to bat, Corowa’s top and middle order combined to set a formidable target.
Despite an early wicket, Corowa raced to 58 runs within the first nine overs, fuelled by a brisk 33 from Lenny Power.
Kade Wilson (38) and Ethan Lane (41) provided the backbone of the innings, steering the score to 105 by the 19th over.
Valuable cameos from Austin Ross-Anderson (18), Jack Eales (18), and an unbeaten 24 from Sam Burdon ensured Corowa batted out their 45 overs to finish at 9/222.
The defence started strongly with two early wickets, but a middle-order surge from North Albury—aided by some uncharacteristic fielding lapses—threatened to snatch the game away.
At 3/135 in the 35th over, the match hung in the balance.
Then, Daniel Athanitis took complete control to break a dangerous partnership and quickly followed up with a second wicket to leave North Albury at 5/147.
With North Albury needing 22 runs off the final six balls, Athanitis produced a masterclass, claiming 3 wickets in just 4 balls to bowl the opposition out for 205.
Athanitis finished with the incredible figures of 7/35 off 8.5 overs.
Following this hard-fought win, B Grade will look to carry their momentum into this Saturday’s clash against Belvoir at Ball Park.
The rest of the grades had the long weekend off.
