On the racetrack, interest will centre on round one of the Colin Young Memorial feature for the Goulburn Ovens Sedans Association.
Junior Sedans, Unlimited Sedans, Sports Sedans, Standard Saloons and Production Sedans will also compete, while Classic and Vintage Sprintcars and Super Modifieds will provide spirited demonstrations.
Off the track, there will be Halloween-themed fun for little kids and big kids alike.
A trick-or-treat pit tour will begin at 1pm, when fans will be guided through the pits to meet drivers, see their race cars up close and participate in some trick-or-treating.
Costumes are encouraged, with prizes on offer throughout the afternoon and evening for the best-dressed participants.
There will also be a spectator space decorating competition.
Families can pitch their spot to view the racing and decorate it any way they like, perhaps turning a marquee into a haunted house, a witch's den or Dracula's castle.
The possibilities are limited only by the imagination.
Competition in the first round of the Goulburn Ovens Sedans Association's Colin Young Memorial will include Corowa-Rutherglen Speedway Club representatives Brandan Lovell, Nick Binney, Shane Barkley, Luke Collis, Stuart Balins, Team Joosten, Robert Williams, Bryan Williams and Jake McCarten.
Victorian champion Nathan Shortis is among the competitors aiming to block a local victory.
In the increasingly strong local Junior Sedan racing group, visiting drivers Laci Mitchell, Amelia Henskens and Lucas Magor, all regular visitors over the past season and a half, have been joined by new Riverina racers Jesse Hawkins and Benji Breese, along with experienced racer Jacob Gordon.
Corowa-Rutherglen members Kade Brockley and Lucas Williams will have some work ahead of them if they are to claim victory.
The support of visiting families, who have shown so much love for the Wahgunyah venue and its volunteers, is doing much to build local interest in the Junior class.
The Classic and Vintage Sprintcars and Super Modifieds feature some magnificent cars from years gone by, which will circulate at their best in demonstrations of what fans used to watch many years ago.
All the cars are wonderful for their own reasons, but the Gary Rush car, with Peter Camilleri behind the wheel, will be particularly exciting for fans to see.
Micheal Fleming-Robertson will lead the Standard Saloon contingent on track, alongside Russ Stone, Harley Matthews and new competitor Chris Fenn, who will face visiting racer Jacob Head from the beautiful Ballarat region.
Fleming-Robertson is the favourite, however, Head and Fleming-Robertson put on a terrific battle in June, and more of the same would provide entertaining racing for fans on Saturday night.
Tim McKenzie, Chloe Creek and Samantha Lord headline the nominations for the Sports Sedans among local competitors.
James Woods, Matt Magor with his new car, and Rhiannon Nicholas will also hit the track to see if they can come out on top.
Corey McDonald defeated Ashley Booker at Wagga last weekend.
This week, in the Unlimited Sedan competition, the two will face Garry Coates and Peter Cox, representing the host club, along with McDonald's teammate Brody McCarten.
McDonald is the favourite, but Booker and Cox, in particular, will not simply hand over the winner's trophy without trying to claim it themselves.
Rounding out the racing, the Production Sedans will see Brayden Creek, Nick Hill and Tom Barnard take on Toby Whyte from the Wagga club.
Tom Barnard and Nick Hill already have some racing under their belts this season and will be keen to secure a home-track victory.
On race day, gates to the public will open at 11am, with racing starting at 3pm.
A full canteen will operate on site, offering hot and cold food and drinks.
Entry is $30 for adults, while aged pensioners and children aged 12 to 16 can enter for $20. Children under 12 are admitted free.
Family tickets cost $65 for two adults and three children aged 12 to 16.
Australian Defence Force veterans with the appropriate veterans cards can enter free of charge.
