24th February, 2026

Aged 79 years.

Loving and devoted wife of

the late Stelios.

Strong, amazing and happy mother

and mother-in-law of

Chris and Effie,

Peter and Maria,

Bill and Yvonne.

Caring, doting and loving Yiayia of

Helena, Christina, Lianos

Kellie, Stephen, James,

Christina and Stelios.

Remembered by all as a kind, caring and considerate

woman who was dedicated to her family. She treated

all around her with respect and love.

She had a beautiful way of calming a stirred spirit,

with warm words of comfort, offering to make you a

Greek coffee so that you would feel better.

Her three boys would test her as they were growing up,

but she had the patience of one who knows, and

the strength of knowing what matters.

She kept them in line and saw them grow to be

the men that she was most proud of.

She loved Stelio and supported him as he established

and grew the Metropolitan Oyster Bar.

She really ran the show.

Her world was never the same after the passing of

Stelio in 2020, but she continued with a smile,

always ready to help others.

When the ‘shop’ closed in 2025,

a 60-year commitment ended.

It was time to rest, time to focus more

on herself and her community.

She loved her Thebarton neighbourhood, where

she was close to friends, family and the Church.

She was always passionate in her faith

and proud of her Greek heritage.

Her life ended suddenly, without pain

and without suffering.

Christina will be forever missed

by all her friends and family in

Australia, Greece and Canada.
