It is with love and deep sadness that the family of Margaret “Meg” Mocock announces her peaceful passing on 20 April 2026, aged 96 years.

Born in Birmingham, England, Meg lived a life full of warmth, quiet strength, and genuine empathy for others. She dedicated her working life to caring for others — serving as a nurses’ aide and later as matron of a rest home.

For over 30 years, Meg made her home in Crows Nest, Queensland, where she was known for her infectious sense of humour, her trademark cheekiness, and a stubbornness that was one of her most endearing qualities. Above all, she genuinely delighted in the joy of others.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Fred, Meg is survived by her son Richard, her daughter Sarah, and her many grandchildren.

Meg, you lived well and loved well. You will be deeply missed.
