BACKLER, Ruth Catherine June (nee Doyle)

The relatives and friends of the late Mrs Ruth Catherine June Backler are warmly invited to attend her funeral service, to be held at the Kingston Uniting Church, Kingston SE SA, on Saturday 18th April, commencing at 1pm. Following the service, the funeral procession will proceed to the Kingston Lawn Cemetery for the committal. An afternoon tea at Lacepede Bay Sailing Club will follow to reflect together and share stories of a dear lady and a life well lived. Ruth was endlessly curious, with a deep love of nature and animals. She delighted in welcoming visitors, had a gift for gathering people together, and told a good story with ease. She was rarely seen without her hair done and her “face on.” In honour of Ruth, guests are invited to bring a bloom from their garden to send her on her way, and a good story to share—just as she would have done.
