WHITBY, John "Barry"

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Barry Whitby, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Barry’s kindness, humour and steady presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Barry leaves behind his beloved wife, Lorraine, and his much-loved children: Kylie & Paul, Dean & Rachel, Brad & Alice, and Candice & Nik, along with their families, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Barry was the cherished brother of Janice & John (dec'd), Greg & Lynn, and Garth (dec'd), and a treasured uncle and friend to many.

A Memorial Service honouring Barry’s life will be held: Tuesday, 8 September 2026 at 10:30am at Howard Uniting Church, Corner Watkins & Coal Street, Howard.

Please join the family afterwards at the Burgowan Bowls Club, 4-6 George Street, Torbanlea, to share stories and celebrate Barry’s life.
