In collaboration with Murray River Council, we are gearing up for this week’s industry visit to Byford Equipment, one of our region’s most respected manufacturing businesses.
This behind-the-scenes factory tour will provide a unique opportunity to learn about Byford Equipment’s remarkable 50-year journey, explore its end-to-end manufacturing process, and gain valuable industry insights.
As an added bonus, attendees will go into the draw to win a fire pit proudly manufactured by Byford Equipment to be drawn on the night.
The tour will take place on Friday, August 28 from 3.30pm-5.30pm.
There are only a few tickets left of the 50 available, with more than 20 businesses looking forward to the event.

Our Safe Towns Project is progressing nicely, with a design-and-construct brief almost finalised.
This brief will form the basis of the tender process, enabling contractors to submit proposals for the project.
Once the successful tenderer has been appointed, a timeline for completion of works will be established, along with plans for ongoing maintenance and operational costs.
A huge thanks to I Want I Need who donated $500 towards the project.
In exciting news, we are finalising the March date for the region’s newest event, Taste the Murray.
This wonderful event is being delivered in alignment with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s Long Lunch in Echuca and in collaboration with the Port of Echuca.
More than a celebration of local produce, Taste the Murray will showcase the complete paddock-to-plate story of our region and highlight the critical role agriculture, irrigation and food production play in supporting local jobs, businesses and communities.
It was an honour to serve as one of the judges for the recent Campaspe Youth Awards.
In addition to judging duties, C4EM sponsored the Excellence in Leadership award which was won by Eden Beaumont who was recognised for demonstrating leadership, resilience and initiative through public speaking, community involvement and self-directed learning.
It was wonderful to witness the passion, talent and dedication of young people making a positive impact across our region.
Your leadership, community spirit and commitment to creating positive change should make our entire community proud.
Our community involvement continues with C4EM sponsoring an award at this year’s Campaspe Murray Business Achievement Awards.
We are looking forward to awarding the Professional Service Community Small award, with category finalists Moulamein Pre School, Barham High School, Gargarro Botanic Garden and Telecare Australia.
Good luck to the four nominees as well as all the other businesses who are vying for these prestigious awards to be announced in October.
In other news, we continue to welcome new members to our fold, with La Trobe University Shepparton the latest to join us.
We are excited to partner with La Trobe to collaborate on education and workforce initiatives, including opportunities associated with a proposed University Study Hub and broader access to tertiary education in the region.
