Vision released on Monday showed a suspected stolen car being surrounded by police and several people arrested before a sword is discovered in the vehicle.
Five people have been charged after a number of attempted armed robberies and a traffic crash in north Queensland, police say.
Two men - aged 23 and 21 - are accused of attempting to steal from a parked car in Townsville on May 18.
A 44-year-old man was attacked with a tomahawk by the 23-year-old when he tried to intervene, police say.
The two men and a 20-year-old woman then allegedly left in a stolen Nissan Murano before colliding with three parked vehicles and fleeing on foot.
One of the suspects is accused of then entering a house, grabbing a knife and demanding car keys and money from residents who refused to comply.
The suspect allegedly left the house and met up with the other two outside and they continued to flee on foot, discarding the knife on the driveway.
Police say that three days later the 21-year-old man - who was armed with a sword - and the 20-year-old woman fled a stolen Suburu Forester stopped by a tyre-deflation device.
They allegedly entered another suspected stolen vehicle, a red Haval, which was intercepted by police a short time later.
Footage released on Monday showed the Haval surrounded by police before a number of people are removed and the sword is discovered in the back of the vehicle.
The 21-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested at the scene, along with another two men, aged 24 and 22.
The fifth suspect - the 23-year-old man - was spotted by POLAIR when police attended a Townsville address later that afternoon and located a stolen Landcruiser and Isuzu D-Max.
The 23-year-old drove away from the address but was later taken into custody.
Video released on Monday shows police locating the man outside a business before running over to arrest him.
"Come here brother. Don't you run, don't you run," a police officer says.
The men aged 23 and 21 have been remanded to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 24.
The 20-year-old woman is due for court on June 8 while the other two men - aged 22 and 24 - have been remanded to appear on May 25.
