A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the incident, with police yet to arrest others believed to be involved.
Police say three men armed with knives stormed the woman's St Clair home in Western Sydney at around 4:45am on Tuesday morning.
It is alleged the men assaulted the woman before kidnapping her and leaving the scene in two stolen Holden Commodore sedans.
Following inquiries, officers sighted one of the sedans at around 8am outside an address in the nearby suburb of Granville.
Police attempted to speak to a man but he ran from police before being arrested following a short foot pursuit.
Officers located the young woman, who was uninjured, still inside the car.
The 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Westmead hospital for a minor leg injury.
Following his release from hospital, the man was charged with domestic violence-related kidnapping and assault.
He was also charged with armed break and enter with intent, vehicular theft and destroy or damage property.
The man was already wanted in relation to the alleged removal of his Corrective Services electronic ankle monitoring device on Sunday.
Other arrests over the incident are yet to made, with police inquiries ongoing.
The 35-year-old man is due to face Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday.Â
