A wheely big tourism push

As part of the initiative, The Victoria has introduced secure bike storage, e-bike charging and a dedicated bike wash station, making it easier for cyclists to use Rutherglen as a base to explore the local cycling loops and nearby Murray to Mountains Rail Trail.

The move supports a broader effort to encourage visitors to stay longer and visit outside the traditional weekend rush, bringing potential benefits for local hospitality businesses, wineries and tourism operators.

With cycling tourism continuing to create opportunities for regional destinations, the hotel’s involvement is another step towards showcasing what Rutherglen and the wider Northeast have to offer.
