The event was free to attend and like last year featured an indoor tasting market to showcase the beautiful Baddaginnie Jubilee Hall.
Event co-ordinator Ulle Currie said it was perfect timing, just before Mother’s Day, to be able to purchase gifts and treats for mothers and grandmothers.
“Thank you to all our supporters and stallholders, who make this such a success,” she said.
Baddaginnie's Jubilee Hall was packed for the 2026 Sip, Savour and Socialise event.
“Our committee wishes to particularly thank Coles Benalla and Woolworths Benalla for their ongoing support, which provides free nibblies for the visitors, a second year in a row.
“We also thank Benalla Rural City’s Social Inclusion Action Grants, which allow us to make this event accessible to all.”
This year, visitors could taste and buy local products by Baileys of Glenrowan, Brezel Mädle (German pastries and Brezel), Emme Mac Black Coffee, Everlasting Floral Studio, John Gehrig Wines, Little Cedar Farmhouse Goat Cheese, Pavlos Catering, Pedal Slowly Brewhouse (Beers), Saffron Gramophone Wines, Samaria Rose Farm (rose oil cosmetics), Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program by Benalla P-12 College (Jams Cordial Chutneys and sauces) and Swiftcrest Distillery (Gin).
The hall smelled delicious courtesy of the hot food served by Pavlos Catering and looked beautiful courtesy of the stunning wreaths and arrangements by Everlasting Flowers Studio, which were all available for sale.
Sip, Savour and Socialise gives local producers, like Mark Foletta from Saffron Gramophone wines, an opportunity to showcase their products.
“This year, our candle-lit outdoor area was also very popular for visitors to chat, relax and eat,” Ms Currie said.
“Stallholders love the buzz when the hall fills up, and for us, it is a highlight on our social calendar to see the hall decked out for this event and filled with locals and people from Benalla and district.
“We want to showcase our beautiful renovated hall, which is also for hire and ideal for family events and small exhibitions.
“Hall hire helps us to maintain and improve the hall, which is vitally important for small towns like Baddaginnie.”
