Community members have been invited to respond to a survey to help shape Greater Shepparton City Council’s domestic animal management plan for 2026-29.

The plan will guide services and priorities for management of cats and dogs, including registration, identification, nuisance animals, dog attacks, declared dogs, domestic animal businesses, community education and operation of the Greater Shepparton Animal Shelter.
Council manager environment Sharon Terry said community feedback was important to ensure the plan reflected local priorities and positive outcomes.
“We want to hear from the community about their experiences in Greater Shepparton, their knowledge of council’s work in this space and what council should consider as part of its future animal management planning,” Ms Terry said.
“We would even love for you to simply share a photo of your pet and tell us why they mean so much to you.”
