The Victorian Parliament’s Flood Inquiry Committee will tour the region in September and October to hold public meetings in Rochester, Echuca, Shepparton and Seymour.
According to the current schedule for the public hearings, the Seymour date is September 14.
The committee will investigate Victoria’s preparedness for and response to Victoria’s major flooding event of October 2022 and will investigate the flood event.
It will also consider factors such as what caused or contributed to the floods.
The Inquiry is being conducted by the Legislative Council Environment and Planning Committee.
State Member for Northern Victoria Wendy, Lovell a member of the committee, joined local MP Annabelle Cleeland in encouraging residents to make a submission, no matter how big or small the impact of the floods was on their life.
