Corowa Golf Club general manager Ashley Boyd says the club is preparing to come out of voluntary administration, and with a new board and clear air they are looking to the way forward.
The Corowa Golf Club board will retire to make way for new blood in response to community feedback as the club pushes to come out of voluntary administration later this month.

General manager Ashley Boyd said a special general meeting will be announced soon to give members the opportunity to vote on the incoming board.
“Last Tuesday (July 7) we had our second meeting with creditors and put forward what's called a Deed of Company arrangement,” Mr Boyd said.
“That was accepted, providing we can continue to trade and come out of voluntary administration.
“It will be formalised over the coming weeks, and we would look to come out of administration at the end of this month.
“Immediately after that happens, we'll call a special general meeting, at which the current board will retire.
“Feedback from the community is that's what they want to see and there are enough people to form a fully functioning board that would look to replace them.”
The golf course has been running “100 percent” throughout the administration period, according to Mr Boyd, with the Pro Shop open seven days a week and the Sports Bar for limited hours from Thursday to Sunday.
Golfers can come down for a round of golf, have a beer and pizza or snacks, but there are currently no plans to re-open the restaurant.
“The motel is now leased to JBS, along with the restaurant kitchen,” he said.
“They've taken all that in what will hopefully be a long-term deal; we've worked through the nuts and bolts, we're just waiting for approval from Crown Lands.
“That will provide a stable income for the club and take away something that needed a lot of investment to turn it into a viable motel operation.
“In doing that, we've now partnered with local accommodation providers to provide a Play and Stay offer very similar to what we previously offered; they provide the accommodation, which is what they do well, and we'll provide the golf, which is what we do well.
“But in terms of a commercial kitchen, that's all done, at least for now.”

Private functions can be accomodated in the clubhouse with a staffed bar, and patrons are free to organise their own external catering.
Leslie Rinehart-Muir recently held her 80th birthday celebrations there and she said they couldn't have asked for a better night.
“Everything was just absolutely fabulous,” Leslie said.
“The staff went out of their way to help set up and they were just brilliant.
“The area was good, and because it's closed to the public we had all week to set up and do what we needed.
“We had about 70 guests, but there’s room for more, so for a private function down there you just need to organise someone who does catering.
“I had my 60th birthday there 20 years ago, and last year we had our 60th wedding anniversary there; being golf players, the club has always meant a lot to us.”

The club is also exploring what the cinema could offer going forward.
“We still have all the functionality there,” Mr Boyd said.
“There are a couple of options we're looking at.
“Now that we have a clear way forward, we can start to look into those options.”
