Little kids, big kids and just kids at heart joined with Club Corowa last week to welcome the opening of Mini Golf on the Murray and the local businesses and tradies who made it possible.
In a boost to the local tourism industry, Club Corowa has hosted a grand opening to unveil its new mini-golf course.

Last Thursday, a lively crowd, including the mayor and Federation councillors, along with the heads and families of many businesses involved in the project, celebrated Corowa’s latest tourist attraction and the local trades that brought it together.
The golf course is a sprawling mosaic of natural features, from the running creek bed to the stone slab bridge that crosses it, and the trees and plants that dot the landscape.
Custom timber tee signage and bridges crafted by the Men’s Shed adds a warmth, which is enhanced by the fairy lights adorning the giant gum tree in the corner.
There was fun for all ages at last week’s official opening.
A giant wall mounted screen and refreshed outdoor dining adjacent to the course completes the experience.
“It’s absolutely amazing,” said Federation mayor Cheryl Cook, echoing the thoughts of all in attendance.
“It’s exactly what the town needs.”
The project that Peter Norris, CEO of Club Corowa, said the course took more than 12 months to plan and three months to build, contributed greatly to the local economy by using local tradespeople and businesses.
“We had originally engaged a mini-golf course in a box type company to complete construction,” Mr Norris said.
“But at the last minute we decided not to sign the contract and to manage the project ourselves.
“We decided to go with local tradies instead, and we think we’ve got a better result.”

The site has been abuzz recently, with businesses such as Hetherington Plumbing, Federation Tree Care, Focus Engineering, Max Macleans and many more involved.
Now open to the public and booking out fast, members can enjoy a round for $15, $18 for guests and $13 for kids.
