Cost of living pressures, war in the Middle East or a looming election?
Whatever the reason, there’s a 20 per cent discount up for grabs on your rego, but you have to register before July 31.
A driver with one car will receive up to $186 back and a family with two cars will receive up to $372 back.
To be eligible for the rebate, Victorians need to have paid their registration between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 for a light vehicle for personal use.
You’ll get the full rebate regardless of whether you pay your yearly registration in full or in installments and you can claim up to two vehicles in your name.
For more information and to apply, download the Service Victoria app or visit service.vic.gov.au/rego-rebate.
Half-price public transport started this week until the end of the year.
Under half-price fares, a full daily fare to travel anywhere across the state will cost $5.70.
Public transport will remain permanently free for under 18s and other special pass holders.
