She’s also a mad keen motorcyclist.
This R U OK? Day, her local riding group, GV Social Riders, will host a Gears and Cheers event to check in on local riders, their friends and families, and the wider community.
“On two wheels, we share more than just the road; we share the risks, the freedoms and the bonds that keep us going,” Ms Green said.
“As vulnerable road users, every ride is a reminder of how much we need each other, on the road and in life.”
She said the Gears and Cheers event was an opportunity to honour that connection.
“It’s a chance to check in with our mates and ride together towards a stronger, safer and more supportive community.”
Ms Green said people could pop in to any of the group’s many events to say hello, even if they didn’t want to hang around for the duration.
“When we gather, our professional and personal titles and roles disappear, and we meet as equals, connected by friendship and shared purpose,” she said.
“We keep our space free from politics and religion so that everyone feels welcome, respected and included.”
Local posties and the CFA motorcycle group, Red Knights, are encouraged to attend the group’s Gears and Cheers event on Thursday.
GV Social Riders is a volunteer-run group with a growing presence in the Goulburn Valley, welcoming partnerships that benefit the local community, particularly ones that improve road safety and mental health.

Entry is free; meals and drinks at own cost.
