Watt Rd, the ‘back road’ between Shepparton and Mooroopna, has been closed for a second time in as many months as floodwaters from the Goulburn River rise, making the thoroughfare unpassable safely.
Other flood warnings in the Greater Shepparton area today include:
Moderate Flooding Possible at Orrvale this morning (August 12), with an expected height near 7.80 metres.
The Broken River at Orrvale is currently at 7.42m and rising.
It may peak near 7.80m this afternoon.
The SES warns impacted residents to prepare for flooding now.
Take actions to protect your life and property against potential hazards caused by flooding.
What you should do:
People in Orrvale, Kialla Lakes and surrounding riverside areas should follow their emergency plan and locate their emergency kit, if they have one.
Farmers should move livestock and machinery to higher ground.
Floodwater is dangerous and toxic. Never drive, walk, play or swim in floodwater.

Properties on Archer St, Kialla West may see some over floor level flooding.
Properties on Hooper Rd, Kialla may see some below floor level flooding.
Properties on Doyles Rd and Jamieson Rd in Kialla/Shepparton East may see above floor flooding.
If you choose to leave:
Remember to take your pets, mobile phone, spare clothes and medications.
Travel to the home of family or friends who are in a safe location, away from flooding.
Turn off gas and electricity at your home or workplace.
Be aware of any road closures when you leave.
If you are travelling:
Do not enter flooded areas. Turn around a find a safe alternative route.
Be aware of road hazards including mud, debris and damaged roads or bridges.
Floodwater is dangerous. Never drive, walk or ride through floodwater.
If you stay or if it is unsafe to leave:
Make sure you have enough food, drinking water, medications and pet food to survive for three to five days in case you become isolated.
Use plugs, sandbags or household items to block toilets, sinks and drains to stop sewerage backflow.
Lift it: move valuables and vital household items up on high surfaces, such as on top of tables, chairs, benches and beds.
Impacts in your area:
Floodwater will cover some farmland and a small number of properties around Doyles Rd.
Floodwater may cover parts of Kialla Lakes Dve and Gordon Dve, with many local streets in Kialla Lakes likely to have water over the road as the river rises.
All vehicle and walking tracks within the Arcadia Streamside Reserve, Shepparton Regional Park and Gemmills Swamp Wildlife Reserve are closed, except for Park Bend off Rudd Rd.
If the Broken River at Orrvale rises higher than 7.20m overnight, further impacts may occur. A new warning will be issued by the SES tonight.
