“It has been a trying time for our club, with the forced closure of Victorian sporting clubs and adapting to the new ‘normal’ of how a sporting clubs are now run, Mr Tyrrell said.
“However, as a club we are now looking forward to the future and facing the remaining part of the season head on in a positive and productive manner.
“The borders opening on November 23 has put a sense of hope around the community.
“We are starting to see more and more people getting out and about and enjoying what our country surrounds have to offer. This includes taking advantage of our town’s beautiful river in this sunny weather we have been having.
“If you have ever considered coming down to Rowers Park and trying your hand at learning to row, you can be assured of a warm welcome to our clubrooms.
“Our experienced rowers look forward to teaching you how to row. We do ask that you connect with us via our Facebook page or email Wahgunyahrowingclub@outlook.com to arrange a time to ensure we are fully compliant with COVID rules.”
