A beautiful and sunny first day of spring saw nine bowlers competing for honours.
Winners were Razz Porter and Rhonda Clark with 2W +13
Federation Triples - Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13
The Tournament is this weekend and tournament director Chris is asking for members and volunteer assistance.

Everyone who has already volunteered, check your allocated duties; Chris has drawn up a roster.
There is a working bee tomorrow, Thursday, September 10, at 10am to clean and organise the verandah area prior to the Tournament.
Ovens and Murray District Pennant
Selectors would like all members to check the availability sheet and indicate your availability.
Pennant commences in four weeks.
Club Corowa Thursday afternoon Pennant Practice commences on Thursday, September 10, at the usual time of 4pm.
There will be a pennant practice game at Rutherglen on Thursday, September 24 at 5pm; Corowa v Rutherglen.
Please wear full uniform.
Barooga Challenge – Saturday, October 3rd
Bus departs at 9am.
With a little luck the new uniform may be available for the Barooga Challenge, otherwise full RSL Bowls Club Uniform for the Rutherglen and Barooga Challenge will be required.
Open Saturday Jackpot Pairs and Triples was cancelled due to inclement weather and wet greens last week.
The Match Committee wishes to thank all members and volunteers for their assistance over the Jackpot Series; it was again a successful format, and some members won some big jackpots.
Social Bowls Tuesday will remain at 11am; you can enter at the Bowls Club verandah.
Keep following the socials and media for updates on Saturday Social Bowls, which will recommence on the first Saturday after the Federation Triples.
Opening Day is on September 19; entry sheets are on the verandah.
State Ovens and Murray Novice Singles Championships will be played at Club Corowa Bowls on Sunday, October 4; if you haven’t already entered, do so before it’s too late.
Coaching with Chris Cooney
Coaching has commenced on Wednesday afternoons from 4.30pm.
No coaching today, Wednesday, September 9, but coaching will resume each Wednesday from September 16 until December 23rd.
Spread the word and make the most of these lessons and drills; Pennant is commencing Saturday, October 10.
The General Meeting and Opening Day is scheduled for September 19 at 9.30am in Ms Birdies function room at Club Corowa.
Men’s Berrigan Triples Tournament – Saturday, September 5
Congratulations to Stuart McNeill, Gary Brown and Andy Dickins on third place in the Berrigan Tournament.
The men have been representing Club Corowa Bowls Club in numerous district tournaments during the off season.
Congratulations to Ken Mollison and John Dalgleish on their Men's Pairs Championship at Oaklands Bowls Club.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
A beautiful, sunny day greeted 24 bowlers on Wednesday for social bowls.
It was lovely to welcome visitors Shirley and Greg Roberts from Drouin, and also locals Kevin Bowler, Pedro Robertson, Geoff and Mark Smith.
Winners - Bruce Corcoran, Eileen Ide, Shane Rosenow.
Runners up - Greg Roberts (visitor) Ian Bilney, Annette Norman.
Saturday social was cancelled due to the very wet morning.
The Club Men's and Ladies Pairs draw is on the notice board at club with the first round taking place on Saturday.
A pennant practice will take place on Sunday against Howlong, with a BBQ at 12.00 and practice at 1.00pm.

The Gwen Tait Ladies Triples tournament is next Thursday, September 17.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
Greg Williamson had a win in the Minor Singles Final on Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon social winners on 4 and 17 (21) were Tony Coppolino, Jan Webber, Greg Williamson, and Joe Carnivale.
Runners-up on 16 and 4 (20) were Sylvia Williamson, Merylyn Milthorpe, Gwen Mills, and Georgie Agnew.
Tuesday’s winners on 15 and 16 (31) were, Greg Williamson, Joe Carnivale, Glenda Willett, and Jan Webber, with the runners-up on 5 and 18 (23) Angela Clapton, Peter Manning, Helen Palmer, and Anne Smith.
Thursday’s winners on 17 and 17 (34) were Sylvia Williamson, Peter Manning, and Marie Leary, with runners-up being Greg Williamson, and Margaret Watson on 3 and 18 (21).
