20 brave bowlers turned up to play on Tuesday, November 1, however the weather beat keen bowlers who decided to retreat into the warmth and comfort inside the RSL Club to enjoy the Melbourne Cup festivities.
The A2 team travelled to YMGCR on Wednesday, November 2 where they had a win by 12 shots. Raz Porter 23-15, Allen Bartlett 19-19 and Andy Dickens 23-19. The A2 team are currently 1st on the ladder having only dropped 1 point in 3 rounds.
The B1 team travelled to Wareena Park and had a huge win, up 37 shots. David Lewis 27-13, Alan Holmquest 20-17 and Janet Davis 35-15. They are 6th on the ladder.
The B2 team played Kiewa at home and also won, up by 21 shots. Frank Gee 25-20, Sam Nixon 29-18 and Peter Mills 18-13.
On Thursday the Rollers once again played in cool weather. The winning team on the night was Jeff Nixon, Jake Chappell and Lucy. Resting touchers were won by Keith Mills and Bryce Carney. The raffle was taken home by the “happy angler”, a meat tray will make a change from fish on the menu.
On Saturday, November 5, the A1 and B2 sides travelled to Club Mulwala
The A4 side played at Rutherglen
On Sunday, November 6 the Ovens and Murray Ladies and Men’s State Triples were played at the RSL greens.
