Rumbalara produced a commanding performance to sweep aside Finley by 28 goals in round 16 of the Murray Netball League to continue its purple patch in true style.

The hosts, who had won four straight games coming into the clash, claimed a 69-41 victory at Rumbalara Recreation Reserve, turning the contest emphatically in its favour after Finley made the brighter start.
The Cats had established a 16-9 advantage during the opening term, with Hayley Denny and Paige Gray combining effectively in the attacking circle.
However, Rumba responded with a devastating passage of play, scoring 12 of the next 13 goals to surge into a 21-17 lead.
Ellie Morgan and Desmond Morgan led the turnaround, and the home side continued to increase the pressure as the match unfolded.
Rumba moved 10 goals clear at 30-20 before extending its advantage to 15 goals late in the second quarter, as Finley continued to battle through Denny and Gray - but it was unable to slow a Rumba attack which grew increasingly influential.
Ellie Morgan led Rumba’s recorded scoring with 29 goals, while Desmond Morgan added 13 and Jaydah Wanganeen contributed seven.
Rumba held a 47-27 advantage during the third quarter and carried its momentum through the closing stages, eventually raising the bat with its 50th goal before powering towards the final margin.
Denny led Finley’s resistance with 25 goals, while Gray finished with 16.
Elsewhere, Tongala secured a convincing 55-32 home victory over Moama, while Nathalia continued its strong campaign by defeating Numurkah 59-38.
Deniliquin Rams survived a tight contest against Echuca United, emerging with a 52-49 victory at Hardinge Street Oval.
Cobram rounded out the weekend’s action with an important win on the road, defeating Congupna 39-30 at Memorial Park.
The Tigers kept Congupna to 30 goals and left with a nine-goal triumph, completing a successful afternoon for the visiting side.
