The Goulburn Valley Playing Area fixture has dropped, revealing an October 10 start date for the 2026-27 season.
Beginning a week earlier than last season, the Allan Matheson Shield will remain unchanged from the previous year’s eight-team competition, with reigning premiers Tallygaroopna drawn to face Tatura Hilltop in round one.
The 14-round home-and-away season wraps up on February 6, with this year's grand final moving to Friday, February 26 — a notable change from the traditional Saturday timeslot.
Second-sixth division grand finals will be held a day later, with the division five decider set to cap off a top-six finals series with 10 teams competing in the grade.
Meanwhile, the midweek pennant season kicks off on October 13 with grand finals locked in for Tuesday, March 2 across all five grades.
Division four also moves to a top-six finals format, with a full dozen teams on the fixture this season.
In the Edna Harling Shield, the midweek pennant’s division one competition has seen a changing of the guard.
Division two premiers Nagambie have earned their promotion to the top division, while East Shepparton drop down a grade for the coming season.
Nagambie’s first test will come against Tatura Hilltop, while incumbent pennant winners Euroa tackle Shepparton Golf in the first stanza of the 2026-27 campaign.
