In a rematch from round seven at Hardinge St Oval, the Rams will be looking to show their improvement across the season in enemy territory.
The last time the two clubs met, some of the netball and football matches were decided by under two goals.
But Moama dominated the results.
The Rams are out to spoil the Magpies’ home round and take some upset wins into the league bye next weekend.
In senior football, the Rams are coming off an 120 point loss against reigning premiers Cobram.
Rams coach John Fitzpatrick said Cobram proved they’re a top-tier side last Saturday.
“They’re a very good side; I’d say they’re the best side we’ve played so far this year.
“They’re a very well drilled and structured team, with good players everywhere on the field.”
Moama are on a five game winning streak, but when the two sides played earlier this season only just got over the line by 11 points - Moama 8.11 (59) to Deni 7.6 (48).
Fitzpatrick said with a few returning players, excitement is mounting for the Moama clash.
“It will be a really good challenge; we only went down by 11 points against them last time.
“It gives us a real opportunity, especially with some ins this week.
“Mick Barnett is back in from overseas, which is a really big in.
“Noah Bradley is also in from injury, so we’ve got a few boys back in with a bit of leg speed which is good.
“Structurally, we’re starting to work out a few things and the forward line is starting to gel and function a bit better.
“The smaller Moama ground may suit us and our style of play, so we’ll be going in there fully confident.”
While facing quality opposition this week, Fitzpatrick said his team will be out to take down a few more teams with a league bye next weekend to relaunch.
“We’ll have six rounds after the bye to try to sneak one or two more wins.
“You’ve got to be positive all the time.
“Every week we’ve been going in, trying to get the win, and you can’t fault the endeavour.
“We’re just working on a few things and looking forward to the challenge.”
