A gutsy win for A Grade on Saturday coming up against a strong North Albury team who sit third in the ladder.
With nothing to lose the girls had a team first mentality and were relentless in their pressure in defence and patience in attack.
This, plus the positively loud and supportive bench, saw them win three out of four quarters.
With constant momentum swings, the girls remained composed and held off each comeback.
The Roos came out on top with a four-goal win (34-29).

B Grade
Corowa Rutherglen 38 def North Albury 30
A soggy day at North Albury brought out a real scoreline tussle in B grade on the weekend.
The competition this year is tight across the league, and credit needs to be given to the bottom-of-the-ladder Hoppers who challenged the Roos’ game plan.
The girls worked hard, never dropping their heads, staying connected and riding out the wet conditions, chipping away and wearing down the Hoppers across the game.
Missed goals skimmed over the wet rings and straight over the baseline, so their usual rebounding efforts were scarce.
They found our mojo in the final term, shifting momentum their way more consistently, with a 15-4 scoreline for the quarter alone and finishing with an eight-goal win over the Hoppers outfit.
Every player on and off court across the game had an impact, with rotations proving imperative to the win.
